Students wishing to major in Film and Video can do so as a concentration in Fine Arts.
Opportunities for Students:
Students will study cutting edge developments in video production and post-production including HDV video production. Students also have the opportunity of applying for and receiving Production Mini-Grants to produce short films while attending Rutgers University-Camden. Selected films will also be shown at the New Century Cinema Film Festival hosted by Rutgers University-Camden.

Majoring in Film and Video:
Students in the Film and Video concentration will study the practical, historical, and critical elements of film and video. To prepare filmmakers for the diverse opportunities available in media production today, the program provides students with strong fundamental training in art and filmmaking. Production courses allow students to create original material in solo and group projects. History and critical courses introduce students to the theories of film and gives them the background to understand and apply the rich history and methods of filmmaking.
